Figured I’d ask here, since I can’t get a response from “customer service”. Has anyone seen a wig chopped at the nape of the wig (see pics)? I’ve been wearing human hair wigs for over 25 years & have never seen this. The quality of wigs continues to decline over the years which is sad for people who actually need to wear wigs.
TWC - The Wig Company1 hour agoThank you for reaching out. what you are seeing is called "return hair". When making a wig, the hair is knotted or sewn into the cap/lace or weft, the end of the hair is brought back through teh same knot (lie threading a needle and leaving extra thread so it doesn't pull out) This return hair locks the hair in place securely. it is normal and not a defect and the most secure way to attach the hair. it is only visible from the inside and especially at the nape but should not be visible when your wig is worn. I love the Carrie wig for the most part! It was shipped extremely quickly and arrived packaged very thoughtfully. It fits my smaller head well without a wig grip. It is breathable and comfortable enough for all day wear. It also looks pretty natural! I’ve had TONS of compliments. This is my first wig experience, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but I’m very pleased. The only minor issues are that the hair on the left side at the nape area seems to bulge out a bit, and I haven’t figured out a way to wear it up as the bottom tends to ride up. Also, I selected “dark brown”, but the actual color is much lighter than expected. Lighter but beautiful, none the less.

I have purchased this wig several times and it's a good standby. Wig seemed thinner than my last one at first but I washed it and let it dry naturally, and it has plenty of volume. Hair is shiny and soft.

The hair is very dry even after first wash. i washed it and blowed dry as suggested for human hair wig. The hair quality is very bad. the hair is dry and feels like straw. Since i already washed it i cannot return and am only asking the company for some refund but they refused to do it. VERY disappointed in the service. i spent $800 on the wig and am not going to wear it.

Just love it - my hairdresser cut and styled it and it looks amazing after the first wash. This is my first human hair wig. I normally wear Jon Renau synthetic and have for years.
