In 1960 our founders sold the very first human hair womens wig introduced in America. Eight years later these forward thinking entrepreneurs tested the first synthetic wig with the two American companies who invented and perfected synthetic hair fiber, the Union Carbide Company and the Monsanto Corporation.
The year 1969 was the turning point for ladies wigs. Natural looking, synthetic wig fiber blends, took the American department stores and beauty salons by storm. Women everywhere wanted to buy wigs and clip on hair pieces know as "falls"...remember when everyone wore "big hair?"
Our company matured that year by opening one of the first Eva Gabor Wig Boutiques in America. In a few years we opened ten more Eva Gabor wig stores in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
